This spy thriller from China, set in 1937, during Japan's invasion of the country, delivers a long scene for Lan Yanzhi (Zhou Liying), the titular Rookie Agent Rouge. The scene begins near the start of the episode, when she is shown hooded, hands cuffed in front, in the back of the car after being captured by the Japanese and pro-Japanese forces. Right after this, the hood is off, she has a small bloody scratch on her face (nothing too bad) and is strapped on a gurney, thick brown straps restraining her hands at her sides, a strap below her knees and one above her chest. Yanzhi is drugged into sleepiness and hypnotized to force her to tell all she knows about her resistance network.

Immediately after this, at the 13-minute mark, the villainess and her henchmen decide to take Yanzhi on a ride-along to show the damage they will do. We get Yanzhi still out cold, in the back of a car, hands cuffed in front, and cleave-gagged with a predominantly red cloth with black and gray patterns on it. Yanzhi comes to and we get plenty of closeups and some shots from the front, viewing Yanzhi in the back. At times, she emotes, depending on the situation, at others not. The next three visits are part of visit to a merchant's shop. Rather than let himself be taken alive, the man blows himself up but the villainess and her men escape, shaken. During this period a lot of closeups, as Yanzhi hears the noise and sees the explosion from her contact's place.

The villainess comes back to do a little face-to-face taunting. Then it's on a house. Around the 19th minute, after briefly being away from Yanzhi, the car pulls up. Several shots of her again, mostly close, as she hears the police storming the building and shooting it out with her comrades. While others are killed or remain hiding, one man Yanzhi is close to comes out at the 24th minute. When he sees her gagged in the car. He points the gun at the car but then realizes things are bad and points it toward his head. No dice. The villainess shoots him, and he lives, crawling toward the car and Yanzhi. Great emoting and struggling from Yanzhi during this scene.

That's it for the drive by and the scene. But it's a lengthy scene with many closeups, some exceptional struggling, mmpphing and emoting at times from a very cute damsel.
