Dallas (1978)
Medium: TV Series
Actress: Charlene Tilton

Description: Episode: "Blackmail", "The Investigation" (5.23-5.24)

Lucy (Charlene Tilton) is looking to start a modeling career. Through an agency, she is partnered with a wacky photographer named Roger. Understandably, Roger is immediately obsessed with Lucy and formulates a plan to run off with her. Lucy, being put off by Roger's manner, requests a new photographer. At the end of the episode "Vengeance" (5.22), Roger invades Lucy's car as she is leaving a bar and forces her to drive to his studio.

In the next episode, "Blackmail", Roger discusses his future plans for Lucy which she seems not to appreciate. Toward the end of the episode she is shown bound to a chair in Roger's back room (hands tied behind the backrest with white rope, more rope loosely around her chest, feet tied together) but not gagged. She gets loose after some silent squirming, attempts to escape, but is caught in a timely fashion.

Finally, throughout the first half of the episode "The Investigation", comes the payoff. Still in the back room, Lucy has been tied to the chair as before but is now tightly cleave gagged with a blue bandanna. Many wonderful expressions from her in close-up, most of them of utter helplessness. Roger soon pays her a visit, saying that he is "sorry I have to gag you". He then ungags and unties her to offer her a glass of champagne.

Elsewhere, the Ewing matriarch starts wondering where Lucy is and begins asking everybody. Bobby's wife Pamela (Victoria Principal) thinks of the photographer, and she and Bobby head off. When they arrive, Lucy is still in the back room, re-tied and gagged as before. No longer wanting to be a passive damsel, she puts up an energetic struggle and with some determination throws herself against a table lamp to be heard. Hearing this, Bobby and Pamela immediately find her barely conscious on the floor. Lucy is then untied and ungagged onscreen, after which she is whisked off to the hospital.
