A government agent friend of Clark's turns out to be susceptible to kryptonite poisoning. The mob has bought a piece of kryptonite, and thinking the G-man is Superman, rig a trap for him. Lois and Jimmy follow and get captured, tied to chairs and over the mouth gagged with white hankerchiefs. The bad guys rig a bomb and Superman can't rescue the pair because the kryptonite is still in the house.
