She winds up being captured by the bad guys (wonderful handgag sequense) and held in order to be used as a hostage to get through the police cordon. She's bound and tightly gagged on screen, white cloth between the teeth; some nice struggling as she's secured. Many tight closeups, as the villian taunts her.
