Description: Mary(Margaret Vyner) is a newspaper reporter investigating a criminal conspiracy that murdered her brother. Around 50 minutes in she realises that her boyfriend, Brian, is being lead into a trap by criminal mastermind Peters.
Dressed in a hat, scarf and heavy fur coat Mary rushes to Peter's house, only to be captured herself. Grabbed by two thugs and handgagged, she is dragged away into Peters study.
We next see her around 0:53 tied to a chair and very tightly OTM detective gagged with a white cloth. There are visible ropes, a tight gag and good emoting, especially when she believes that Brian has been shot. However this is a gag from the 1930's that renders a damsel completely silent. So there is no mmmphing.
This plays out a few minutes later when, bundled up in her coat, her gagged face hidden behind a scarf and veil she is marched outside and into a limo past a police guard!
Taken to the villain's lair she is tied to another chair and made to watch his plan unfold. Most shots of the villain are two shots with a side view of Miss Vyner's gagged face also in the frame. More helpless silent emoting as the villain uses remote controlled planes to bomb London.
